HERZBLUT & SALZBURGER NOCKERLN – 40 Years of Skateboard Culture in Salzburg is a mixed-media exhibition, that traces the history of the local and international skateboard scene.
Through compelling content—multimedia, immersive, and interactive—it explores the space between asphalt, art, and memory.
Historical photographs, video archives, collectible items, and augmented reality storytelling bring this cultural memory to life. In addition, the mixed exhibition features an exciting supporting program of events and workshops.
HERZBLUT stands for a passion that transcends and connects generations. Political, philosophical, and artistic perspectives open up both local and global viewpoints.
Skateboarding is presented here as a field of tension between subculture and mainstream, DIY culture and consumerism.
This mixed-media exhibition is a collaboration between the Villains Collective from Salzburg, the Berlin Skateboard Museum, Ad Hocrates, and the Forum der Kunst.

The exhibition and event weekend (June 19–21, 2026) showcases Salzburg beyond the festival and mass tourism—as a stage for a vibrant, urban scene—a space that exists between art form and consumerism, physicality and community.
The exhibition reflects global codes that are interpreted locally in Salzburg and lived as a lifestyle—authentic, raw, and unvarnished.
Artworks, personal stories, and collectibles make 40 years of skate culture in Salzburg visible and tangible—a heartfelt tribute with a touch of Salzburg's unique charm.
The format combines skate culture, events, and technology, and is aimed at young people who are part of the scene, as well as anyone of any generation who is interessted and passionate about skateboarding.
